Two people have died in Nayadingi, Manikganj after a truck collided head-on with a pick-up van, says police.

The incident was reported from the Dhaka-Aricha Highway around 7am on Friday (Mar 15).

“A Paturia-bound truck, loaded with goods collided head-on with a pick-up van carrying chicken, leaving two people dead on the spot,” said Golra Highway police OC Lutfor Rahman.

“The identities of the victims were not immediately available,” he added.

“The incident left the driver of the van severely injured,” said Rahman before adding that he has been admitted to a hospital.

Driver and helper of the truck, involved in the accident, managed to flee the scene, OC Rahman said.
