A local leader of the ruling Awami League’s student front was stabbed to death in Narayanganj.
The incident was reported late Wednesday from Rupganj Upazila, said police.
The deceased identified as 28-year-old Sohel Mia, served as the publicity affair secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Bholabo union unit.
Police have made four arrests in connection of the killing.
“Unidentified miscreants stabbed Shohel indiscriminately around 10.30pm on Wednesday leaving him critically injured,” Rupganj police OC Shahidul Alam told Bangla Tribune.
“He was rushed to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where the doctor pronounced him dead, the OC said.
