The election is in the air and the administration is ready to hold the upcoming local government election, said Planning Minister MA Mannan.

“The upcoming local government election will be held peacefully and the authorities concerned are prepared to hold the election,” he told the media at a center of Vitamin A plus campaign in Sunamganj on Saturday (Feb 9).

He added that people will be able to cast their franchises freely and independently.

Responding to queries about the event, he said, “Authorities decided to extend the campaign for four days for the people of remote Haor area.”

“The health workers will provide the vitamin A capsule door to door,” he added.
