Two persons, suspected to be drug dealers, were killed during a gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion personnel last night at Barishal colony at Chattogram.

Mimtanur Rahman, Senior Asst Director of the Rab 7 Media wing, told Banglatribune.com,' A team of RAB personnel had gone on a raid in the area following a tip off, about 11 p.m. last night. They were shot at by local criminals as they went about their work. Two persons were killed as the RAB men fired back.'

After the exchange of shots, two bullet-riddled bodies were found. Later doctors declared both dead.
One of those killed was almost immediately identified as Habib, who had been charged with 12 drug related crimes reported from several police stations. The other person was yet to be identified.
