Four passengers of a private car have been killed in a road accident on Gazipur-Madanpur Bypass road in Narayanganj.

The incident was reported early on Sunday (Jan 20) as the vehicle plunged into a road-side ditch at Taltola area in the district’s Sonargaon upazila, said police.

The victims are identified as Shahidullah Moktar, 50, Ripon, 32, Raju, 30 and 35-year-old Momen, said Sonargaon police OC Selim Mia.

“A private car plunged into a ditch after its driver lost control over the steering killing four of its passengers on the spot and injuring one,” Sonargaon police Sub-Inspector Md Anamur Rahman.

Narayanganj Additional Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Mamun said that the driver lost the control over the vehicle due to dense fog.
