Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said BNP now becomes a safe haven for militants and killers including Jamaat-e-Islami, the party whose leaders have been hanged for crime against humanity in the 1971 Liberation War.
“So, the party (BNP) should be kept out of the politics and the state power,” Inu told the reporters after paying tributes to martyrs on Victory Day in Kushtia on Sunday (Dec 16).
On behalf of Sheikh Hasina and the Garand Alliance, Inu, who is the president of Jatiya Samajtanrik Dal, urged all freedom fighters, and non-communal forces to vote for the ‘boat’ in the 11th Parliamentary Election slated for Dec 30.
