Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be contesting the polls in Gopalganj-3 constituency with the electoral symbol ‘boat.’
Deputy Commissioner and Returning officer Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman Sarker allocated her electoral symbol on Monday (Dec 10).
Meanwhile, in the same constituency, BNP candidate SM Zilani has been allocated the ‘paddy sheaf’ symbol, Islami Andolon Bangladesh’s Md Maruf Sheikh got ‘hand fan,’ independents candidate Md Uzir Fakir and Md Enamul Hoque will be contesting the polls with the symbols ‘lion’ and ‘apple’ respectively.
In the Gopalganj 2 seat- Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim has been allocated ‘boat’, BNP’s Sirajul Islam Siraj got paddy sheaf and Islami Andolon Bangladesh candidate Taslim Sikder was allocted the symbol ‘hand fan.’
In the Gopalganj-1 constituency AL’s Faruk Khan got the boat symbol, BNP FE Sarifuzzaman Jahangir ‘paddy sheaf’, Islami Andolon Bangladesh’s Md Mizanur Rahman got ‘hand fan’ and Bangladesh Shomajtantrik Dal (BSD) candidate Ishaq Mollah will be contesting the polls with the ‘ladder’ symbol.
