A PEC candidate in Chattogram died on her way to the exam hall when a battery run three-wheeler collided with her rickshaw on Monday (Nov 19).
The victim, identified as 12-year-old Sumona Akhter was accompanied by Pinki Akter, 11, another PEC candidate.
“Both the girls were severely injured when they were rushed to the hospital. The on-call doctors pronounced Sumona dead upon arrival,” Chattogram Medical College Hospital police post Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukdar told Bangla Tribune.
Pinki Akhter is alive and has been admitted to the surgery ward of the hospital, added Talukdar.
