An alleged drug peddler in Sylhet died while trying to escape the police by jumping of the terrace of his house on Wednesday (Nov 14).
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Abdullah, who the police confirmed was in trial for a narcotics case.
Shahparan police OC Akhtar Hossain said that there was an arrest warrant against Abdullah.
According to locals, Abdullah injured himself when he jumped off the terrace when policemen went to raid at his house.
His relatives took him to Sylhet Osmani Medical Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
