The dismembered remains of an unidentified person have been recovered by Ashulia Police on Monday (Nov 12).
The remains were discovered with the head missing and police are estimating the victim to be between 30 to 35-years of age.
Quoting the locals, police said that the cut-up remains were discovered by locals when they smelled an odour by a street in Ashulia. Upon further inspection, they discovered the body parts and called the police.
“The body parts have been sent to Shahid Shurawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” said Ashulia police OC, Jabed Masud.
He added that they are primarily suspecting that the victim was killed 4 to 5 days ago, dismembered and then put in a fridge.
“A case will be filed with Ashulia police,” Masud said.
