A head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run three-wheeler has left three dead in Tangail, said police.

The incident was reported from Hatia area of the district’s Kalihati upazila around 7 am on Friday (Nov 9).

The driver of the three-wheeler died on the spot when it collided with a northern district-bound bus, said Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Mosharraf Hossain.

Two others were pronounced dead around 9am when taken to Tangail General Hospital.

The deceased three-wheeler driver has been identified as Sabur Mia, 35, who hailed from Bhuapur Upazila, while two other victims are yet to be identified.

The bus involved in the accident managed to flee the scene, added Hossain.
