After killings in the northern part of the country, bodies are being dumped in one of the many rivers, ponds, canals or open spaces of Sirajganj.
On Thursday last, police recovered two dead bodies near the Ullapara Bridge.
The victims died due to injuries inflicted by sharp weapons behind the head.
On Oct 1, near the Mulibari check-post, the bodies of a truck driver and a helper were recovered by the police. They were from a corn carrying vessel.
More bodies were found on Oct 31 and Nov 1.
Sirajganj Additional Superintendent of Police Md Forkan Sikder, said, “It’s only natural that killers will try to dispose bodies in areas far away from the crime to avoid detection.”
However, we are carrying investigation and, usually, a criminal makes a small mistake which helps the police to pinpoint the perpetrator, he added.
