“The dialogue will continue and election be held as per the constitution,” Menon said while addressing a public rally organised by Workers’ Party on Ranisonkoil Degree College ground in Ranisonkoil upazila of Thakurgaon on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest.
Thakurgaon district unit president of Workers’ Party and Member of the Parliament from Thakurgaon-3 constituency Professor Md Yasin Ali presided over the rally participated by thousands of leaders and workers of the party and the common people, reports BSS.
Terming Dr Kamal Hossain and Mahmudur Rahman Manna ‘hired leaders of BNP’, Menon said they had announced not to eat some foods at the Ganabhaban. “But, they ate chicken Biriani at the Ganabhaban.
Leaders of the Jatiya Oikyafront could not deny the fact of eating foods at Ganabhaban,” Menon said.
Pointing at BNP, Menon said, “You (BNP) attacked the innocent people as well as trucks in the name of movements. Even, the innocent cattle heads were not spared from your attacks.”
“You (Khaleda Zia) have landed at jail embezzling money of orphans. Your five-year jail term has been enhanced to 10-year. If your party BNP does not participate in the next election, the party will be wiped out from the people’s mind,” Menon said.
Menon suggested BNP not to try to disrupt the upcoming national election through anarchy or sabotage saying that the level playing field and rights to conducting rallies and meetings would be given.
