The police have lodged a case in connection with the seizure of six crude bombs from the office of Islami Chhatra Shibir in Chattogram’s Chawkbazar area during a police raid on Saturday.
All of the accused in the case are members of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Chattogram city's south unit president Abdul Jabbar, secretary ASM Raihan and treasurer Hasan Elahi were made accused in the case, among others.
“A case was filed under Special Powers Act and Explosives Act,” Chawkbazar police OC Nezam Uddin.
Chawkbazar police Sub-Inspector Anisur Rahman said that the case lodged on Saturday night against 52 named and 38 unnamed persons.
