Three people died as a train smashed a human hauler in Rajbari’s Baliakandi Upazila on Friday (Oct 19).

The deceased have been identified as Imran Sheikh, Sarwar, and Shakil, all of them employees of the local Razzak Jute Mill.

The hauler collided with Bhatiapara bound Faridpur Express train a little after 12pm near Sholakura rail gate at Baliakandi said Akmal Hossain, OC of Baliakandi police station.

The hauler was carrying 14 workers of the jute mill amongst whom three died on spot and eight were injured he added.

The injured have been taken to Baliakandi Upazila Health Complex and Faridpur Hospital.
