Three people have died in a landslide in Chattogram following heavy rains in the wake of cyclone Titli.

The fire service said three of a family died in the landslide around 2:30am on Sunday at the city's Freoz Shah area.

The victims have been identified as Johra Begum, 60, Nurjahan Begum, 45 and her two-year-old daughter Fazlunnesa.

A senior officer at the Agrabad Station, Rezaul Karim told Bangla Tribune, “Heaps of soil from a hill at Feroz Shah area fell on their house burying them alive.”

The bodies were later pulled out from the house, added Karim.
