Three RAB men injured in Ctg shootout airlifted to Dhaka

ChittagongThree members of Rapid Action Battalion, wounded in a shootout that killed a drug dealer in Chittagong (Chattogram), have been flown to Dhaka for better treatment.
Four RAB men were injured in the shootout at the port city’s Muradnagar on late Thursday (Oct 11).
They are Major Mehedi Hasan, Squadron Leader Shafyet Jamil Mehedi, Lance Corporal Arif and Lance Corporal Shaheed.
“The injured were earlier treated at Chattogram’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH) but all except Shayet Jamil were flown to Dhaka’s CMH by a helicopter at 4am on Friday (Oct 12),” RAB Senior Assistant Director Mimtanur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
According to Rahman, the trio sustained bullet injuries on their hips and legs.
Thursday’s shootout left one dead, who was identified as Asim Babu Roy, 28, and was named the three separate cases with the city’s police stations.
