Cautionary signals at maritime ports lowered to 3

Cyclone TitliThe local cautionary signal has been brought down from 4 to 3 for the approaching cyclone ‘Titli’ at all maritime ports.
The meteorological office had instructed all maritime ports to halt operations until the cyclone made landfall in India’s Odisha and Andhra Pradesh early on Thursday (Oct 11) morning.
“The cautionary signal was brought down after the cyclone made landfall,” Omar Faruk an official of the meteorological office told Bangla Tribune.
Once the signal was brought down, ships were allowed to resume movement in and out of the port.
“Regular operations have resumed at the port,” said Durul Huda, Harbour Master Commander of Mongla port.
