A fire in Dinajpur has left nearly 320 tons of jute completely burnt.
The incident was reported around 8am on Monday from Arnu Jute mill in Hili’s Dangapara area of the district.
Hili Fire Service official Khaled Bin Walid said that it took them nearly one hour to put out the flames.
“Mechanical problems of the machines may cause the fire,” added Walid.
Initial assessments say that the fire gutted jute worth Tk 20 million, according to the jute mill owners.
