Over 100 missing after 15 trawlers capsized in Bay of Bengal

More than a hundred fishermen are still missing after 15 fishing trawlers reportedly capsized during a storm in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday (Sept 20) night.
The Coastguard and the Navy are conducting relentless rescue operation and rescued over 150 fishermen so far.
Coastguard operation officer Lieutenant Jahid al Hasan said, “More than a hundred fishermen are still missing who were on the trawlers when those capsized during a storm.”
“Over 150 fishermen have been rescued so far but the trawlers couldn’t be recovered,” he added.
Hasan also said that their rescue operation is ongoing.
