A collision between a covered van and a motor cycle has left one people killed and two injured at Dhaka’s Ashulia.
The incident was reported around 10pm of Tuesday from Abdullahpur-Baipail highway at Ashulia’s Sarkar market area, said police.
The deceased has been identified as Azad, 26.
Witnesses say that a covered van and a motorcycle crashed into each other which left one of the motorcycle riders dead on the spot. The other two of the motorcycle, Monir and Asad, were seriously injured during the incident.
The injured people were admitted to a local hospital and later sent them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Ashulia police OC Zabed Masud said, “The body has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.”
“The driver has managed to flee from scene with the covered van,” he added.
