MP Badi show caused for not protesting impudent comment

Abdur Rahman BadiTeknaf Upazila Awami League president and other leaders have recommended the expulsion of upazila joint president, Zahir Hossain, for saying that Abdur Rahman Badi, MP of Ukhia-Teknaf is more popular in the area than the prime minister.
Meanwhile, Badi and upazila council chairman have been issued show cause notices asking why they did not protest such an impertinent statement from Zahir.
By comparing Badi with the prime minister, Zahir Hossain has breached party discipline.
Zahir HossainOn Sept 8 last, at a meet, joint president of Teknaf upazila Awami League, Zahir Hossain is said to have made the comparison.
Refuting the allegation about the impudent comment, Zahir told Bangla Tribune that the prime minister is a global leader; the question of comparison with her does not arise.
“There is a conspiracy being hatched against me since I am a candidate for president in the next upazila committee,” he added.
Meanwhile, attempts to contact Abdur Rahman Badi, the MP at the centre of the contention, failed.
