Lutfun Nahar Luma is a Social Sciences student of the Eden College in Dhaka.Police have detained an Eden College student, who was one of the leaders of the quota reform protests, from Siragjganj.
“A unit of Dhaka police’s Cyber Crime Control Team on Tuesday night sought our cooperation. They have detained a female and took her to Dhaka,” said Sirajganj’s Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Yousuf.
Lutfun Nahar Luma, 21, was held from a village in the district’s Belkuchi Upazila early on Wednesday.
She will be questioned in a cybercrime case filed over violence in Dhaka during the quota reform protests, said Belkuchi police OC Abdur Razzak.
“Luma, a second-year Social Sciences student, was detained from her relative’s home. She was immediately taken to Dhaka after the detention,” he said.
