Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association President Gangacharan Malakar said that it was adjusted as the price of the precious metal came down in the international market.
“Gold is the only commodity in this country, which is priced in line with the international market. We have revised down prices thrice earlier this year,” he told Bangla Tribune.
From Monday (Aug 6), the best quality 22-carat gold would be sold at Tk 47,472 per Bhori, the Association said in a statement.
The new gold prices per Bhori are as follows:
22-carat Tk 47,472
21-carat Tk 45,198
18-carat Tk 40,124
Price of the traditional gold, however, will not drop, which was at Tk 27,585.
