Stock market to remain closed from May 31 to Jun 8

File photo shows a general view of the Dhaka Stock Exchange building.The country's prime bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) will remain closed for nine days from May 31 including weekly holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The decision came from a board meeting of DSE held on Thursday (May 23).
According to DSE officials, the Eid vacation will begin from Jun 4 and continue till Jun 8. But May 31 , June 1 and Jun 7, 8 are weekends and Jun 2 is government holiday, which means the total vacation will be for nine days.
After the Eid vacation, trading and official activities on both bourses will resume from Jun 9 as regular time.
Trading will begin at 10:30am and continue till 2:30pm, while office will open from 9:30am to 5:30pm in every working day.
