The country's prime bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) will remain closed for nine days from May 31 including weekly holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The decision came from a board meeting of DSE held on Thursday (May 23).
According to DSE officials, the Eid vacation will begin from Jun 4 and continue till Jun 8. But May 31 , June 1 and Jun 7, 8 are weekends and Jun 2 is government holiday, which means the total vacation will be for nine days.
After the Eid vacation, trading and official activities on both bourses will resume from Jun 9 as regular time.
Trading will begin at 10:30am and continue till 2:30pm, while office will open from 9:30am to 5:30pm in every working day.
