Indonesian investors coming to Dhaka

A group of Indonesian investors will be visiting Dhaka to explore investment potential in Bangladesh, says Indonesian Ambassador Rina P SoeMarno.
“They are ready to invest in Bangladesh,” she said Tuesday at a press conference on upcoming single country Indonesian Trade Fair to be held in Dhaka.
The prospective sectors are energy, power, poultry, halal industry and others, she said.
The ambassador said this is the second time they are organizing such fair and they want to have more business-to-business contact between Bangladesh and Indonesia.
In the first fair, total transaction and potential transaction stood at $279 million and it encouraged the Indonesian private sector investment in Bangladesh, she said.
About South and South East Cooperation proposed by Bangladesh, she said, it is business driven and we endorsed it.
The three-day Indonesian Fair will start on Apr 25 at International Convention City, Bashundhara. A total of 75 companies will set up 80 stalls at the fair.
Ministers, business people and government officials will take part in different discussion during the programme.
