GP declares 280% dividend, Singer 30%

The 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Grameenphone Limited today declared 280 percent dividend while Singer Bangladesh Limited in its 39th AGM announced 30 percent dividend, reprots BSS.
During the GP AGM at the International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB), GP shareholder approved 155 percent final dividend (cash) and 125 percent interim dividend (cash), which has already been paid, said a press release.
The cumulative dividend for 2018 stands at 280 percent of paid up capital (Taka 28 per share). As per usual practice, Grameenphone will ensure fast-track on-line divided distribution.
At the occasion, Chairman of Grameenphone Board Petter B. Furberg and Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michael Foley, along with other Board members and senior officials of the company, were present.
In another press release, Singer Bangladesh Limited Chairman Fatih Kemal EbiOlioglu said that 2018 was a successful year for the company with record sales in all key product categories.
2018 turnover increased by 24 percent to Tk 13.7 billion, he added.
He informed that profit after tax increased by 23 percent to Tk 920 million, with earnings per share increasing at the same rate to Tk 12 per share.
