Fourth Dreamliner to join Biman fleet Saturday

On Sept 12, Boeing authorities handed over the aircraft to senior Biman officials at its factory in the US city of SeattleBiman Bangladesh Airlines will receive its fourth Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Saturday (Sept 14). With the latest inclusion, the total number of Biman planes will rise to 16.
On Sept 12, Boeing authorities handed over the aircraft to senior Biman officials at its factory in the US city of Seattle, said Biman’s Deputy Manager Tahera Khandaker.
“Aircraft ‘Rajhangsha’ will arrive on Saturday and will be greeted with a water salute,” she said.
The national flag carrier signed a contract in 2008 with Boeing, an American airplane manufacturer, to buy 10 new planes.

‘Rajhangsha’ will be the last in the row of 10 new aircraft to buy from Boeing as per the contract.
The aircraft has the capacity to fly 16 hours nonstop and 271 seats, including 24 flatbed business class seats.
